Miguel Yakobi, known in Israel as Moty, was born in Montevideo, in which he lived 15 years, until he made his immigration to Israel. After 15 years he left behind something that never could forget and that was evidently the artistic base of his life. In Israel he studied music, arrangements and direction, in the Academy of Music of the University of Tel Aviv.
Miguel began his professional career in Israel, although he appeard on stage already at the age of 6, when he played the piano in the "Cervecerias of Uruguay" and in several different concerts and events. Miguel's first musical group was “4 Plus” which he formed after he finished the military service. After the other 3 members gone to their seperate ways, Miguel formed and administrated “Music Plus”, leading the group, on its various forms over the years, to great success on the local musical scene, until our days.
Nowadays Miguel performs as a solo artist, simultaneously with the "Music Plus" trio, in Israel and overseas as well. All the musical arrangements are made by Miguel, for the special demends of every event. With years of experience on stage, his show is very attractive to many types of audience, and to the Latin and European audience in particular.
